Just wanted to take a moment to thank the promoters of all the Mid
South events. Sure they make a few bucks by doing it but I can tell
you that there is an enormous amount of work that goes into putting
on an event and people do it for the love of the sport not the few
dollars that one may or may not make. My hat is off to all the
promoters, Scott and crew, sposors and all the others behind the
scenes that make this the great series that it is. Keep up the good
work.
Hey guys,
This is Chaz Akers. We have a friend that is looking for a good
used 65. Just a good used bike that he can race. Alrighty, just
email my dad back at this address :D, thanks.
Chaz
if anyone found a ktm air box cover(fell off in the first section of
woods on last lap) will you let me know and keep til next race. had
black grip stickers on side w/ sponsors. thanks

the track was awesome but i think that the prmoters should have
put up mile markers. becouse i broke down and after three laps i had
no clue where i was at. so maybe they can put them up every mile or
two. thanks PS. i was the guy on the 450r that had the bent axel in
16-24 B
I gave a spectator my left(it was a red oneal golve inside of a gray
fox glove both left handed) glove at a mud hole at monteagle and told
him to give it to scott in the score tent if you can help me find my
glove please write back thanks byron
I don't go to many of these events but just wanted to say thanks to
the promoters for a great course. A little bit of everything. I did
like also how they used the fencing for the muddy spots. Boy those
ruts though. I am sore this morning!!! Don't know how you guys go so
fast thru that stuff. I liked using just a little bit of the MX
section halfway thru to get a "breather".

I was wondering what that was. Just figured it was a dead cow but boy
you could not miss it for about 100 yards or so.
No that was not a a single deer that was causing that smell. On the
back hand side of the first section after the start there is a
chicken farm. There was a pile of dead chickens about the size of a
car about 100 yards from the trail. We considered running the trail
and putting in a woods check by the pile o chickens but at the last
minute decided against it.
Did anyone smell that dead deer or what ever it was? Anyway, awesome
track, very well laid out, marked well, and great preventative
maintenance on the muddy sections!
Will that track ever be open to practice on?
Thanks for a great race!
Rusty
Anyone happen to find and pick up a red handguard out on the bike
trail? Before I order new ones thought someone just might have found
the one I lost.
Good track. Especially for a new trail. Event seemed to have run
well.
I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but there was way too much
noise (bikes running and people talking) during the riders meeting.
I couldn't even hear with the bullhorn going. One of these days we
are going to miss some vital info out of those meetings.
I would like to thank the promoters for a great track. Some open
some tight and some muddy. Even the bad mud holes either had a way
around or the wire layed in to keep you going. I thought that was
great. My only problem was that I blew my rear brake seal on my ATV
in the first turn of the race, wore my fronts out by the end of the
first lap. Riding with no brakes if tough. Had a great time anyway.
Just wanted to commend the promoters for a job well done because I
think that there isnt enough of that done. We complain when its bad
so we should thank people when in our opinion its good.
Good job to the promoters, that was some great trail, well marked and
tight.
Spectators on atv's are a pain. They are everywhere.
Loved the race, just too sore to move.

No, the MX track will not be open. The track is great though,
they've had no rain since Monday. There is a 9 mile ATV loop, 15
mile Big Bike loop, 3.5 mile Jr. A & B loop, and almost 1 mile Pee
Wee loop.

The junior A and B loop will have some smaller hills in it nothing
big. There will be a few creek/ditch crossings all with bridges.Should
not be anything to hard in the loop.

Mid-South Hare Scrambles Riders:
I have negotiated a special rate for our riders at the Best Western Smoke
House Lodge in Monteagle TN. The hotel is very close to the event (a few
miles, the closest one). You need to make your reservations ASAP due to
some other events in the area and a limited number of rooms available for
our riders. Their toll-free reservation number is 800-489-2091. The local
number is 931-924-2268. They are offering a special rate of 59.99 ($20 off)
but you must identify yourself as "a Mid-South Hare Scrambles Series rider"
to get the discount. They have a full service restaurant with breakfast
buffet available. Plenty of room for trailer parking.
DANGER: Please be advised that last year we had some (BIG) thefts from
other hotels at this exit (Motel 6 or Days Inn, I think). I would recommend
you NOT stay at any hotel other than the Best Western at the race exit. If
you cannot get a room at the Best Western, the Winchester or Manchester
hotels would be my second choice but they are a good bit farther. The Best
Western has security cameras and they have made special arrangements with
the local police for an increased presence just in case.

No, we are not using that part of the property this year. That area
was too dificult to police and had some trouble with the locals in
that area. Last year we were still re-arrowing and putting up banners
in that section when the race started. This year we are using all the
land to the right of the mx track. Taras Massey is in charge of our
atv loop this year, same as last year. He raced quads for a while and
seems to know what is enjoyable and what is not.

As far as I know, yes. Promoters have a way of surprising me when I
pull up some mornings, but again, as far as I know Clay will be having
me do all the races.
The junior A and B course will be about 3.5 miles long. The pee wee
course should be about 1 mile long.Separate courses for both with the
A and B track being the first part of the big bike track.
