Join the Midnight Marauders as we honor St. Valentine's Day with our
inaugural Porn Ride. On this chilly February evening we aim to warm the
cockles of your heart with a tour of Chicago adult themed businesses.
We will be starting at "Light The Night" Chicago Critical Mass Art Show
at the Flat Iron building 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave. Next on our wild
Chicago erotic adventure we will visit several sponsoring "adult
themed" businesses. Currently on board are The Pink Monkey Gentleman's
club, Batteries Not Included Wicker Park, and Wildflowers Lingerie,
which will be raffling off 30 vibrating cock rings. But the fun doesn't
stop there! The night will then heat up at an after party at a TBD
location with a variety of bike-centric adult entertainment. We will
have a limited number of the first ever Midnight Marauders T-shirts,
available for $10 each. The ride this month will have an earlier than
normal departure time of 9:30, so don't be late! With any luck we will
figure out what a hearts cockles are.Questions- *773-885-0900*Martin

I would give the guy real props if he had it concealed on his persons. Is that a sword in your pants or are you just happy to see me?
Who needs a helmet anyway when you have your long sword along for the ride.
And I thought I was a badass for stabbing car tires with a pocket-knife.
That never really happened by the way, just another Marauders myth.

Join the Midnight Marauders tomorrow night, the 17th for our monthly
mission of alcohol fueled mischief, mayhem, and debauchery. This
month we will celebrate the return of above zero wind chills with a
North Side Dive Bar Pub Crawl. We are going to be visiting some of
the classiest watering "holes" this part of our city has to offer.
Our merry band should have no problem gaining access to these, uh...
fine establishments.
Due to global warming, the economic crisis, the war in Gaza, and
clowns, there was an error in the posting on the Bike Winter
Calendar.
In the text the proper location was listed, however, in the location
box the Handle Bar was listed, as it is often our meeting spot.
This month we will be meeting at the Billy Goat Tavern, 430 N.
Michigan Av. lower level, 11:30pm, leave at 12. If you can't find it
go downstairs.
Hope to see you there,
Martin

The big Santa Rampage is =this Sunday= the 14th!
Meet at Twisted Spoke around 12 (earlier if you plan to use the

After the traditional stop for anti-freeze reserves, we'll storm
bustling retail strips in full Santa regalia and spread jolly bike cheer!
Full Santa costumes please-- Walgreen's sells a decent one for $20-ish.
This is an all weather ride :-)

Friends,
Please come on out tomorrow evening for the Bike Winter Karoake ride.
We'll assemble behind the Handlebar (2311 W. North Ave.) around 8 PM,
and then ride around playing Yakkity Sax* on air-kazoos searching for
Karoake (research process well underway).
We may dig in at the first place, or do some hopping at the discretion
of the group. Likely end zone Lincoln Square-land.
Participants are encouraged to prepare a bike-corrupted version to the
lyrics to their most trusted Karoake staple.
It will probably be a good idea to bring some cash for refrescos and an
photo ID wouldn't hurt. Feel free to hail me at 773/710-4143 if you want
to join up later en-route.
Check out the lovely and illustrious Chainlink for a slightly more
detailed listing:

Or visit the Chicago Bike Winter Calendar:

For this and other upcoming winter biking events, including Mr. Bike's
workshop on Sunday and Lauren and Martin's Bike Winter basics next
Wednesday.
And remember that you are welcome to add your own event to the Bike
Winter calendar at any time!

Marauders,
I've just received word from Martin that it's Friends and Family
weekend at Performance Bicycles. This means you get his discount today
and tomorrow (11/15-16) if you stop by the shop at 2720 N. Halsted. If
you have any bike or gear shopping to do, this is a good opportunity
to do it for some sick discounts. Martin's also asked that we do NOT
spread the word to non-marauders and/or other e-mail lists; no need
for things to get out of hand.
Don't forget that we ride tonight!
see you then,
lauren
This Saturday, yes the 15th (the 1st was the first Saturday to avoid
the usual confusion) the Midnight Marauders will be holding our monthly
ride. It looks like we persuaded the weather gods to give as a break.
It turns out there is a reason to chair Bike Winter after all.
This month we will be Marauding a number of north side parks. There are
no off road sections or crazy shit, so sound systems are encouraged.
We meet at the Handlebar, 2311 W. North Av. at 11:30, depart around
12:00, or whenever we are fully hydrated, or thrown out.
See you then,
Martin
Reminder-- Thurs. evening!

OK kids, we have the best finale ever lined up, assuming all goes as planned. I fully expect it to. Bring extra fluids as I think we will end up hanging out longer than usual. There will be a small off road portion, so keep that in mind. I still don't believe what we found, I dont think you will either. Martin

Found this on youtube of us riding in september 2008 last month. The video was made by L. Jerome. It even captured the nerds who decided to make the ride break a dance party. There is no nudity for those that are concerned, lol.

People, people, people-- drinking and cycling DO NOT mix.
Fortunately Marauder's rides typically have lots of stops built in for
drinking.
