Well, now that the cat is out of the bag (not sure if you meant to send this to the group) -- just confirming that I'll renew the domain.
If anyone wants to make a donation (including you, Martin, or anyone else), donations are ALWAYS accepted at donations@.... Please specify the intention of your donation when you send it (e.g. "Marauders domain renewal/support"). Any extra funds will be used for the bikegeeks domain stable.
And if anyone wants to set up a page for the MM ride, let me know. We get free hosting and what-not. I'm looking at you Adam -- didn't you say you'd love to get involved with
the bikegeeks somtime. :^)

As much as I've loved the MM rides I've been on (I used to do them when they left from the Handlebar -- booya! -- kids and age prevents me from those sorts of shenanigans anymore... alas! My name is PJ and I have been co-chairing MM with Martin for over three years now. At this time please ignore all the banter your get back from email the group page. We have a small council that organizes and runs the rides. We have concluded at this time that we just want to keep this running. Martin should be contacting you to provide the $30 you requested to keep the page up. Or at least continue to be part of the larger umbrella of Break the Gridlock. Hey Folks ->I joined this list to ask a simple question....A while ago the bikegeeks registered the Internet domain name CHICAGOMIDNIGHTMARAUDERS.ORG for this group. The intention, at the time, was to build out a small page for any information about the ride. That never happened. Currently, the domain forwards to the MM Yahoo! Groups page.Well, now the domain is expiring. I'm happy to renew it; but would like for someone to say why it should be renewed. Hey -- your domain is up for renewal. You want to renew it? If so, can the Marauders throw some cash our way? Right now it just redirects to the Yahoo! Groups page.
a 2-year renewal is about $30, a 5-year renewal is $60. (And I can give you a tax letter for the donation of course).
