ok, that makes TWO troublemaking marauders down for saturday night,
and there will be at least two other bike kids there to sneak on with
us. will anyone else be joining? meeting at dark bar (halsted/jackson,
attached to greektown gyros) sometime between midnight saturday and
1am sunday, departing sometime after 2...

if you plan to come and want to rep for the marauders, let me know and
i will do my best to make a sign for you, your bike, or your bag! also
feel free to BYO.

as i said to martin, crashing a charity event may be problematic for
some. the ride benefits the Friends of the Parks, a group that's doing
some really great stuff around the city! you can read more about them

however, a ride that costs $40 is not in everyone's budget, and even
volunteers must pay $20. if this sort of thing is in your budget, i
highly encourage you to donate directly to FotP, which you can do
here:

(of course, you could go the official route and actually register for
the event, but you'll have no idea how much of your money will go to
FotP and how much will be diverted to "mcdonalds surprises" and
t-shirt costs or what have you. just saying.)

martin, the trailer is a great idea! i've seen disposable (but also
reusable, so try not to trash it!) styrofoam coolers that would
probably fit. you should let me know the trailer's width, so i can
make an appropriately-sized sign.

we should have a flag for sure, with a simpler logo than the one we
have now... but i don't see it happening before saturday.
(and HEY, anyone want to make us a new logo? something like what we
have up here: http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/midnight_marauders/
but simple enough in color and design to put on stickers, etc. ideally
it would incorporate drinking, chicago, bicycles, and vikings. ha!)
