Hi Lauren and all Marauders
November's ride was spectacular, We found most of the
public art we were looking for, even though we
couldn't get in to see all of it. The piece at the 911
center is not all that public being behind a large and
intimidating fence. My attempt to have our group
permitted access to the "public art was thwarted by
the officer at the front desk in no uncertain terms-
(In a SNL Chicago accent "Yeah, your gonna have to
come back in the daytime and talk to Da bosses about
goin' over by 'dere" Possibly the faint smell of PBR
and the giant Viking helmet gave the man pause as
well! I have been very lax in updating the group about
the rides, all of my various web based projects have
been suffering, the real world has been winning out
alot more often, unfortunatly it's mostly been work
that has kept me from more leisurly pursuits (Die
Capitalist Pigs!) Our new friend Martin has offered to
make the map for this month, however I would love to
have someone else offer a suggestion as well. I wont
have time to do a map, and might not be on time for
the ride(updates to follow regarding my timeliness) so
if nobody else posts up for December we will end up
doing a no-map no-leader random Maraud. Give me some
maps or suggestions and I will forward them to Martin.
