hey marauders,
how did november's art ride go? i was feeling assy so i stayed home,
but the route's concept sounded like an awesome one. come on, people,
share the memories -- this e-mail list gets more mail from spammers
than bikers!
will there be a december ride? i'm visiting my folks for the holidays
and can't make it, but if there will be one, someone should put a
listing on the bikewinter.org calendar
(http://bikewinter.org/calendar/scheduleofevents.php?city_id=1). JtS,
if you confirm the ride i can post it, or i can tell you the password
if you don't know the name of that winter thing we're rolling in.
and hey, check out the calendar if you haven't already, or haven't
lately. there's a winter riding clinic tonight at performance, a bike
maintenance clinic on wednesday at west town, and a winter cycling
class in little village next tuesday. if you're more interested in the
social side of things, next weekend has a host of activities. check
out the latke party at the hub co-op on friday, the santa rampage
(which sounds like a blast, and i'm sorry i'll miss it) on saturday,
or the hanukkah ride on sunday.
there also seem to be some nuts in oak park who go for a ride every
sunday at sunrise (!), but i get the feeling the folks on this list
are more the night owl types... which gives me a great idea! on one of
our rides, we should bike, drink, merry-make, and otherwise stay up
all night, then head to oak park for their sunrise ride! the sunrise
rides continue through march, so we have some time to figure it out.
who's in?
more information on all the bikewinter events i mentioned and more can
be found, once again, at
http://bikewinter.org/calendar/scheduleofevents.php?city_id=1.
i arranged my flight back to chicago so i could make december's
critical mass... hope to see you there!
