That’s a great point Greg, I didn’t
think of that. I’m thinking the 3rd Saturday may work out
better, I pretty sure there’s nothing recurring near there. Even if there
is I’ll just hope it works out so I’m going to tentatively schedule
The First New Midnight Marauders Ride for Saturday August 19th at
11:30 PM, meet outside the Handlebar

Group Ownership/Changes
Hey Jimmie, me again.
Changing the date sounds like a good idea
to me. However, the first Saturday MAY bump into the
Obviously there will always be a conflict with something. I
hope others weigh in with date suggestions.
Personally, during the summer, I'm a slave to early mornings
when I can get a head start for long Sat and Sun rides. That's one reason you
don't see me out riding late in warm weather. Although, these days, a cool
night ride sounds great.
Take care,

Subject: [Midnight Marauders] Group Ownership/Changes
Greetings and Salutations
I've noticed that there is not much traffic in this group, and
although I haven't shown up for a ride I see that others have and
have been disappointed by a lack of turnout. I am offering to take
over ownership and promotion of this group from whoever currently owns
it. I profess to bring the Midnight Marauders into the realm of
Cycling groups that make an impact on's Bicycling community. Chicago
I'm willing to put the time and effort into promoting this group, and
I recommend a schedule alteration making the monthly ride the first
Saturday of each month, offering some separation fromCCM . (Some may
feel as I do that having the ride the night afterCCM could discourage
some from attending) If anyone on this list (There are 56 people
currently subscribed as members) feels that my suggestions warrant
further discussion please feel free to post up.
Thanks
