If any are missing it's cos a) you didn't give it to me, or b) you or
your opponents are not registered

Great discussions going on n I’m enjoying trying to
keep up
Uni Ultimate has recently become associated with BUSA,
a situation that has been sought for many years. This
is a new time and we are fortunate that we continue to
play in the traditional Ultimate format (ie 8 game
weekends as opposed to Wednesday leagues).
Maybe if UKUA and UniUltimate scheduled together
differently, that would sort out clashes.
Some Student teams struggle to find support from
sports facilities because Basketball or Netball have
priorities. In fact market forces have the power.
Perhaps the governing body could help try to compel
Unions to host events on a rota basis based on
feasibilities.
Whatever your preference, there are changes too in the
format of National and International Ultimate. As its
all new, maybe a new calendar needs to be compiled, in
Unison.
This makes sense regardless of a players loyalties.
Oh and may I remind someone that most uni teams don’t
play the whole tour.
Onto spirit. Doubtless hippies and socialists
appreciate the out pricing of riff raff but perhaps
they also remember what spirit is?
(thanks) . The financial argument is based on market
value and equilibrium price. This is understandable
in a capitalist (free) environment. Conversely, the
venues for larger events are at a premium. We will
continue to play the price as long as this is a
requirement for hosting certain sizable events.
Perhaps a move toward more regional input is required,
with a more elite national event. This would also
help spread the wealth – socio-capitalism. The
suggestion that its CRASS to talk about money is a
thing of eccentric Englishmen… well thankfully this is
Britain: We are British and we require more from our
leaders – that what makes us world leaders.
Business is business
UKUA would deserve to make a taxable margin also, if
they positively resolve this problem.

This is just a reminder that the priority deadline for 1st team entries to MUOR is this Wednesday, which means if you haven't done it yet, you probably want to get your cheque out today, tomorrow at the latest.
Please remember to include all the contact details (see original email below). As soon as the team list is finalized I will stop using this list and use team contacts directly.

Unfortunately, there were no bids for the weekend of the 10/11 March. Also, i was informed that some universities finish for Easter on the 9th March and are required to leave their university halls, making it impossible to play at regionals. It was for these 2 reasons that regionals will be held on 3/4 March. I apologise to anyone hoping to play in both tournaments, but unfortunately there is no other way.

Hi,
The pitches were not availiable for the weekend of the 10/11th of March. I was not aware of the clash with indoor nationals for this weekend, but I'm afraid we didn't have a choice, and the uni regional coordinator (himself from Nottingham I believe) decided to give is the bid. The bid has only just been awarded to us yesterday, I have not yet had a chance to put it on the UKU calendar. I will do that now; thanks for reminding me.

I was just curious as to why this event has been moved forward a week to the weekend of Open Indoor Nationals (and not put in the UKU calendar so people could spot a clash) when there doesn't appear to be any events it would clash with on it's original weekend (again, only from the UKU calendar). Just to let you know there is a delay in this weekends schedule cos a
number of teams have entered late. Because I'm nice I'm trying to fit
them in cos it means we get to play some different teams and generally
helps everyone get better.
Currently waiting for park manager to ring me back to tell me whterh or
not we can have the space either side of the football pitch.
Hopefully I'll be able to tell everyone what is happening tomorrow.

If you are going to load the results from winter league yourselves
please let me know! I currently load all the results once I have them so
that you don't have to and they get put down with the correct starting
times.
This is important because the order of the games affects how many points
you get for the ladder league.

Just to clear up you do NOT need to bring a full team to the Skills Day.
Only reason for doing Ladder League games at the end is if we get enough
from each team.
Otherwise we'll just mix and match players.
