Hello to all,

I (Jason) and Julie from Slipdisc will deal with the MWL admin in general, but help is much appreciated.

1. The difficult bit: MWL dates.  I may have heard wrongly (if someone can confirm this, it will be great), but there is word on Britdisc about synchronising Winter Leagues dates for the different regions.  If nothing happens regarding the above, we will push on ahead with dates which are suitable for all participating teams.

2. The format will be the same as last year: 4 league events with a knockout tournament.  The 8 team format (and at least 3 pitches) shall be retained and priority will be given to participating teams from last year.  In the event that places become available, I will post a message on the mailing lists to advertise for teams.

2nd teams may be encouraged to fill up places, but the team must make sure that they can attend every event on a consistent basis.

3. Trophies are to be reused this year.

4. Hosting MWL:  Last year, the events were held in B'ham, Nottingham, Warwick and Oxford.  The idea this year was to hold it in a single venue, but if other teams are willing to host an event, contact me immediately.  So far, Slipdisc will host at least one event while Purple Haze has posted interest.

To sum it up, I need information from last year's teams.  Tell me if

a) Are you participating in MWL this year?     Yes 

b) Do you want to host an event?     Yes but we need dates asap to confirm the pitch

c) Send me a list of dates NOT suitable for your team.     Anything in the Winter League Window will be fine 

d) Give me the email of the appropriate contact for your team.     Secretary@... 

Please do this asap, so that pitches can be booked.   If I do not receive word soon,  I'll send word on Britdisc.
