Hi. At the michigantrails.org website there's a suggested training
schedule. As a newbie myself last year, I followed that schedule
pretty closely. When the ride came, I was in such good riding shape
that I breezed through. I never had a problem at all with stamina, or
soreness, etc. I probably could have slacked a little on the training
and still managed the daily distance without any trouble. But don't
stress over it too much. You can ride whatever pace you like on the
tour, and take as many breaks as necessary to stay fresh. Build a good
level of fitness and get your butt used to the saddle and it'll all be
good. Don't hesitate for a moment to sign up. The 2008 Michigander 6
Day was the BEST AND MOST RELAXING vacation I have ever taken. I'm
gettin' all blissed out again just thinking about it to write this reply!
