I'm afraid I had to go out on sunday so I missed the
skate america competition.I tried to tape the show but
the daylight savings time was messed up on my vcr ,and
it thought it was monday instead of sunday and by the
time I got home the show was over and my machine never
taped.Does anyone know if Michelle was in the
competition?As far as the question of her age I don't
think she's physically too old.I do how ever feel that
the judges ,t.v. networks,and the skating federation
are dismissing her as yesterday's news ,and are
looking towards sasha kowen as the next superstar.I'm
afraid that's the nature of skating.They expect you to
be A champion before the next olympics otherwise
they'll find someone else.To be honest I was relieved
when sasha fell short at the nationals.Its not that I
have anything against sasha, she's doing everything
right, but this could be Michelle's last three years
as A skater.Sasha has everything in her corner she's
with A top knotch coach, she's got east european roots
which boads well with judges outside the u.s.,and her
style is fresh ,and new.I don't know how long michelle
has left in her amatuer career.All I want is to see he
break the record for the most national titles ,and
i'll be happy for her.
