I can understand your feelings, but I personally don't agrre with you.

Tanith Belbin is an exceptional athlete. And I think both Tanith and
Benjamin really deserved to participate in Olympics.

As you wrote, you and your husband 'have been fighting for Freedom
and American Citizenship here in the USA'. Well, so did Tanith. It
wasn't like she woke up one day being officially American. As far as
I know she got the final answer 36 hours or so before deadline. So
she was thinking that she won't be able to go to Olympics. And, by
the way, Tanith and Benjamin fought for USA on the Games. And this
means smth! ((BTW, I am not American).

Yes, Congress and President interfered in the process. But, come on,
people! Tanith is an exceptionally talented girl and it would have
been just bad and unfair if she wasn't able to perform simply because
of bureaucracy! And I also think this concrete situation is an
example showing that if you worth smth you won't be unnoticed. I
think that this concrete example of interference shows good side of
US government. I mean, everybody got what they want and no harm has
been made.

As you well know, the Skater Ms Tanith Belbin had
a Special Law passed just for her and that has
extremely upset me since she is still a canadian
anyway.

I and my husband Anthony Martini have been fighting
for Freedom and our American Citizenship here in the
USA. We have no country having given up our citizenship
where we came from.

Congress and the President Politically interfered in the
Olympics so they could send Tanith Belbin to the Olympics.

I just finished watching the USA vs. Australia dual
swim meet from Irvine, CA. on NBC.  Michael Phelps did
a tremendous job in leading the powerful American
contingent to an overall victory.

Swimming is the national pasttime in Australia.
Phelps stated that he is going to try to also make
swimming a major sport in the U.S. such as is
baseball, etc.  He admitted that the task might be
quite a challenge, but that he was going to give it a
try.

I'd like to help out how I can in helping Phelps reach
this pinnacle for the sport of swimming.  Maybe we
will soon see a swim meet swam in front of 20,000
spectators, etc.?  I myself am a former U.S. Swimming
Coach and Athlete member, as well as, U.S. Navy
Surface Rescue Swimmer.

pleading guilty to drunken driving on Wednesday.

Judge Lloyd O. Whitehead granted the 19-year-old probation before
judgment, which will allow Phelps' record to be expunged if he follows
the terms of his probation.

Phelps, who pleaded guilty to driving while impaired, was fined $250,
ordered to pay $55 in court costs, and told to attend Mothers Against
Drunk Driving meetings. In addition, he has to speak to students at
several schools about the dangers of consuming alcohol.

Prosecutors dropped several charges against Phelps, including driving
under the influence, underage drinking and failure to stop at a stop sign.

"I recognize the seriousness of this mistake," Phelps told the judge
in court. "I've learned from this mistake and will continue learning
from this mistake for the rest of my life."

Phelps, who won a record-tying eight medals in Athens this summer,
including six golds, was pulled over by a state trooper on November 4
for failing to observe a stop sign. He was then charged with driving
under the influence, failing to obey a stop sign and violating a
license restriction.
