The Memphis-Wrestling list discusses wrestling in and around the Memphis area. Promotions include Memphis Wrestling Promotion with Cory Maclin and (you guessed it another Weatherman) Brian Tegland, Lawler's short lived promotion Classic Memphis Wrestling, the late Randy Hailes' Power Pro Wrestling, the late MCW, the former KAW, the defunct USWA, the old CWA, The TV 30 Wrestling show, the departed TV-5 Championship Wrestling Show the old old Channel 13 Studio Wrestling show, and the Gulas promotion under the NWA Banner. We also discuss National promotions with Memphis Alumni (WWF-WCW) and other Mid-South Regional wrestling promotions and events.

I often posted USWA results on USENET's RSPW. It seemed that there should be a Memphis group, so I started the memphis-wrestling list on November 11, 1998 on what was then onelist. Onelist merged with egroups. With this merger, the two Memphis wrestling discussion groups. the other one managed by James Haley III, were merged. The newly merged e-groups then became a part of yahoo, which merged it into its newly established discussion group area. In 2001 Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Clubs merged operations This led to another consolidation of groups, most notably Chris Bell's Yahoo Club, Memphis Wrestling Fan Club. James and Chris still contribute and are TREMENDOUS RESOURCES of Memphis Wrestling information.
