I watched the Rebirds/Sounds game on local TV last night. I live 85 miles
from Memphis and the DimondJaxx opener was a day game and I couldnt attend
because of the universal "work" excuse.

The Memphis Redbirds won 3-2 in a very well pitched game. There were a
couple of errors including a three base one on Memphis, but as bad as a
three base error could be...it didnt cause a run.

The TV announcers kept estimating the crowd as 15,000 and Memphis is
setting an ambitious goal of a million fans this year. It was a pretty
incredible crowd, considering the weather was threatening earlier and it was
on LIVE local TV.

The teams wore vintage uniforms with generic Memphis/Nashville on the front.
It wouldve been nice to see a Chicks/Vols emblems to make it look even more
1902ish.
