Hi everyone --
There's a new, clear voice for cycling advocacy in the City of
Melbourne -- Melbourne Bicycle User Group (BUG).
Melbourne BUG's INAUGURAL MEETING will be held on
Monday, June 16 at 6.30pm at Ross House, 247 Flinders Lane,
Melbourne. ALL CYCLISTS ARE WELCOME -- you don't need to
be an MBUG member to come along! We are hoping for an
attendance of 50 or more cyclists, and the meeting will include
presentations from Melbourne BUG's Co-Convenors, Bicycle
Victoria and the City of Melbourne.
The Inaugural Meeting will talk about:
* MBUG's advocacy & lobbying campaigns
* Social rides & educational workshops
* Plans to promote cycling in the inner city
* Future directions for MBUG
* PLUS there will be plenty of time for general discussion about
issues of interest and concern to inner-city cyclists.
Melbourne BUG belongs to all of us. Our strength and success
will be a measure of the involvement of MBUG's members. Only
three months after starting up we already have over sixty
members and supporters, and now is the time to make your
voice heard. Come along to our Inaugural Meeting on 16 June,
and help us make the City of Melbourne a great place to ride!
