Summer Schedule

Beginning June 2 the team workout schedule will be as follows:

Level 4 and up

Monday 4-8 PM (L4 who want to go for L5* and up)

Tuesday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (L4 and up)

Wednesday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (L5 and up)

Thursday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (L4 and up)

* Gymnasts who competed L4 last year, who want to try to obtain the skills to compete L5, must train 3 days a week.

Summer Gymnastics Camp Option for Level 4 and up

We would like to take the Level 4 and up gymnasts to Kraft Academy of Gymnastics in Oklahoma for gymnastics camp this summer. The dates for the camp are August 8-10^th. This would be an option for the girls who want to participate in an intensive gymnastics camp. The cost for the 3 day camp is $200 and a non-refundable deposit of $25 will be due June 26 to attend the camp, with the remainder of the balance of $175  is due by July 31. This fee does not include any coaches fees or travel expenses. Once we determine how many gymnasts are interested in attending camp, we can finalize travel arrangements and costs. We will try to keep any additional costs to a minimum.

Summer Day Camp at Mega

If you need childcare after the scheduled practice hours above, please contact me ASAP. We will provide some day camp hours after practice for gymnastics team members, but I need to know who needs additional hours so that I can staff appropriately. Also, if you have a conflict with the schedule above, please let me know and I will make every effort to accommodate your schedule for the summer.

Hey everyone!

This is Jennifer Robins, mom to Ellie (Level 4) and Lucy (L9). Tammy
asked me to send a note out about Lucy and Jessica doing so well at
Regionals this past weekend and qualifying for Western Nationals. This
is a really BIG DEAL! Only the best Level 9 girls in Arkansas make it
to Regionals, which was this past weekend in Wichita. In our region, we
compete with Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, and Wyoming. To qualify
to Westerns, you have to score in the top 40% of your age group at
Regionals. Truth is, there are many years in which no kids from
Arkansas qualify for Westerns. Many TX kids train 30-35 hours per week
and have special schools to enable their training. Here we don't have
that option, so it's quite a feat to compete against those kids, AND
WIN!

Please take a moment to congratulate the girls (and Coach Dennis) on
this accomplishment. They are Mega's first Western National Qualifiers!

Big News!

I want congratulate Lucy Robins and Jessica Lieblich (level 9 gymnasts) on a
fantastic job at the regional gymnastics competiton this weekend. Both girls
qualified to go to Nationals in May!! Please tell Lucy and Jessica how proud we
are for them when you see them in the gym this week.

This is a huge accomplishment - Jennifer, if you have time, could you post some
details about this accomplishment to help everyone understand what it means for
two of our girls to qualify for Nationals?

front desk by Thursday evening? Diana and Cassadee were not present the day we
took pictures, but we have captured their photos now and they will be added to
the team photo.

Lucy Guiberson is selling her Child Large leotard and warm up for $200. It is in
perfect condition and will save someone alot of money! Please let me know if you
are intested in purchasing her leo. I am holding it in my office. We will be sad
to see Lucy leave in June - she is moving to Colorado. However, we are happy
that she will continue pursing the sport of Gymnastics in Colorado. Lucy is

Okay, I expanded the state program ad to a full page. Jennifer Robins is
creating the ad. We are using the entire team photo, the level 5 photo and a
picture of lucy and jessica - the level 5 and 9 pictures will include the girls
names in the ad.

I am chipping in $35 toward the full page and split the remainder between the 6
competitors so each of you owe $15 for the ad. I think I spoke with the majority
of you about this - if I did  not I'm sorry - hope that is okay.


If any of you want to purchase an individual ad, I need to know asap - I'm
sending the money today. It would be pretty easy to have any of the individual
ads we used in the Mega program, I think Jennifer can send those along with our
group ad. But I need to know ASAP! Maggie is running her individual ad from the
Mega Meet.

I know this is short notice, but, if you are attending the Level 4 state meet
and would like to place a good luck ad in the program for your daughter, Camera

Okay, you may have heard rumors, but here is the official announcement!

Get ready for limo rides to the Jacksonville Meet this weekend!

Friday, February 15th (level 4, plus optionals, lucy and jessica)- girls need to be at the gym by 3:30. The limo will be there to pick them up and leave for the meet at 4:00 PM.

Saturday, February 16th (Level 5) the limo will be departing at 11:30 - please be at the gym by 11:00.

Sunday, February 17th (Level3) the limo will be departing at 12:00 - please be at the gym by 11:30 if possible.

Parents - plan on following the girls to the Cabot High School Gym in your cars. The limo is only going to take the girls to the meet and drop them off, you will need to be there after the meet to take them home.

 

Also, if any of the Level 3 team members are not going to the meet on Sunday, want to come ride in the limo on Saturday with the Level 5 team and watch the meet, there will be plenty of room. Please see me and let me know.
