Hello Medicine Wheel email group! My name is Sarah Uhl and I have just recently moved to the area, discovered the beauty of the Pikes Peak Region and heard about Medicine Wheel and all the great things you guys do! Thanks!
My background is professional bike racing, but I'm moving towards the advocacy end now. Please take note of the Pikes Peak Area Bikeways Coalition meeting tonight. (announcement below). The meeting is at 7:00pm in the basement of the Red Cross Building on 8th street (TOSC office). It would be great to get more people aware of the Coalition (so bring friends) and I would love to meet you as well! I will be speaking tonight... about some abstract ideas I've got for how we can all unite- and part of my mission is uniting all the likeminded people and groups in our area.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to meeting you soon, hopefully on the trail!

FW: Subject: Pikes Peak Area Bikeways Coalition Meeting Thursday 18 OCT 7-8:30 p.m. @ TOSC
Cyclists and those that make a living because there are cyclists,
Tired of hearing Al Brody talk about local bicycle advocacy issues and achievements? No problem. This month Sarah Uhl, a recently retired professional road and track racer will educate and enlighten the lucky folks that show up. Come hear Sarah's fresh perspective on what a cycling coalition can do to improve our cycling community.
Have you seen the October edition of Newspeak! Colorado Springs' only Alternative(newspaper)? It is the 12th issue and it is called the "Bicycle Issue." You can pick up a copy at Poor Richard's, a few other downtown locations, or go to www.newspeakblog.com It has lot's of interesting info and opinions on bicycling in Colorado Springs and not a single mention of PPABC. Please think of ways we can better coordinate our messages.
Hope to see you at the meeting.
