Hi -
We moved away for a few years, came back, then I was off the bike for
a while to have a baby.... That's a bunch of information, but it's
just to explain why I haven't been mtn biking much practically in my
backyard for a few years, and why we haven't done anything with
MedWheel. I rode Templeton Trail for the first time in a while last
night - up at the top (near the road & parking area) it's almost
impossible to actually find the trail to stay on it - some places I
used to know very well are almost unidentifiable.
Is there anything in the works to get that area signed & trails better
defined before it gets too much worse? It looks like several trail
areas have had some bad erosion problems that are compounded by people
not using/ not finding the trail. I'm afraid that if it doesn't get
some attention it's going to be really awful in a few years and that
the only way to fix it will be to close off areas.
I can almost hear the answer already... "Wow, would you like to
organize something?" I'll certainly help. I don't know exactly what
to do, where the trail is SUPPOSED to be anymore in some places, or
how to get resources or approval...but my husband and I will help and
will help (hopefully) find some people.
