2 important notes about RRC freeride park - please read   Message List

Hi everyone,
2 points about volunteer construction at the freeride park in Red Rock Canyon.

1 - Schedules
We *are* building tonight, Thursday Oct 19, and will have a generator and lights - so plan on a solid bit of work from 530pm till 9 or so.  We also plan to build this Saturday 9am as normally scheduled, unless there is a snowstorm (which IS in the forecast).  If it does snow we'll have to move it to Sunday morning, hope this will still be OK.

2 - email list.  After this week you will not get email notices from Cory directly.  We have set up a separate Red Rock Canyon email list.   Please go to http://www.medwheel.org/rrc.htm and sign up for the moderated email list.   I promise no spam - just information about the park and build sessions.  If you don't sign up, you won't get emails about build sessions.  You can still find out what's happening by checking the medicine wheel site.  Please note that you will receive a confirmation email when you sign up, so make sure your security settings don't prevent you from getting this.

I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed to the park so far, obviously it's a volunteer project so we truly couldn't do it without you.  Also, although we are freedom-loving, freeride anarchists, we are planning to introduce a little bit more structure to our volunteer build days, so when people show up we'll be better able to set them to work.  We will have more clear definitions of who's responsible for what, and what stunts have been agreed upon.  At all times we will continue to welcome your input to the design of the park.  It belongs to all of us so please feel welcome to contribute your good ideas.

Thanks friends,

Cory

Subject: Red Rock Canyon Freeride park build night - tonight, it's on!

Weather permitting the build night is ON, 530pm.  We poured footers last night so we can resume the line onto the big rock and possibly even the bridge to the smaller rock.

Actually I personally will be there in spirit only tonight; I am going to miss this one.  Joe and Greg will be there and have a clear idea of what's going on.  Please help them out if you can.
Good luck!

Cory

Subject: Red Rock Canyon Freeride park build night - Thursday!!

We are set to go again this Thursday night.  Holes have been dug for the next round of footers, and we will be finishing the prep for concrete - digging, setting up rebar, placing the SonoTubes.  It would be great to have extra shovels and posthole diggers, if you can bring them.  Kris will be there before 5pm getting setup, and I plan to arrive at 530.

We are planning to pour the concrete on Saturday.
Thanks
Cory
