As you know, Cheyenne Mtn State Park is opening to the public on October 21st. Unfortunately, it seems that there are a few last-minute trail connections that need to be made. So, the park managers are putting out an urgent request for volunteers to come down and help build trails this weekend. No experience is needed and tools will be provided. The following is the information from their letter:
Also, we have another unique
opportunity... and this one is pretty cool! We need to actually build
some trail. So, in addition to the post crews, one crew (hopefully
and really big one!) will go with Rich and build some much needed trail
connections. This will involve using hand tools and some rock moving
if needed. I know many have expressed an interest in trail
building...so here's the chance!
Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to come to one or two of the days. Also, if you have any friends who have a hankering for trail building, let me know...it's not too late to get them registered.
Please call or e-mail with questions or confirmations!!! Thanks!
