Dear Medicine Wheel,
IMBA and its affiliated club partners, Bicycle Colorado, Colorado Trail Foundation, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) have a two events coming in the near future- a big National Public Lands Day celebration on the Colorado Trail in Buffalo Creek (9/29 -10/1) and the BLM/IMBA/Bicycle Colorado Mountain Bike Summit in Gunnison (10/13 - 10/15). Both are great opportunities for mountain bike leaders and agency personnel to share knowledge, improve mountain biking experiences, and have a great time. Read on below for more detailed information and registration instructions. Please pass this email along to your peers- more and better trails are right around the corner!

This year, with the support of the Colorado Trail Foundation, we’ll be tackling some eroding portions of the Colorado Trail. All work and no play- no way! Saturday afternoon guided rides and a Sunday Epic Ride for every ability are planned. And what to pay- a little sweat, a big smile, and fresh riding legs is all we ask.

BLM lands are home to some of Colorado’s world-class trails. A vital component to this success is world-class partnerships. IMBA, Bicycle Colorado, and Colorado BLM recently signed an agreement that seeks to expand and improve the trail experiences currently offered around the state.
Would you like to see a singletrack, loop-based trail system for riders of all abilities near you? This event will provide direction on the BLM’s trails and travel management planning processes, highlight the partnership successes from around the State, and provide networking opportunities with your local BLM officials. And, of course, we’ll do a fair bit of sampling the Gunnison area’s spectacular trails.
Great education, great riding, and great potential for Colorado’s mountain biking future! Cost for the event is $25.
