Volunteer Trail Building Day - This Saturday September 9   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #482 of 616 |
Saturday, September 9, (this weekend) come on down to Cheyenne Mountain State Park for a morning of building new trails for mountain bikes and hikers! No experience is necessary.

Medicine Wheel of the Pikes Peak Region (www.medwheel.org)is teaming up with CSYP to provide an opportunity to see the newest state park at the south end of Colorado Springs and to help create some of the coolest riding and hiking trails in the area. If you haven't seen Cheyenne Mountain State Park, this is a great chance to see it,legally, before it opens in October of 2006.

Medicine Wheel has built about two miles of singletrack trails in the park over the last three years, and we need your help finishing off our latest trail. There's nothing like the feeling of riding or hiking on a trail that you helped build!

For more information, go here

If there is enough interest, we will also try to arrange for a guided ride through the park for CSYP volunteers within a couple of weeks.

Please RSVP to CSYP@..., providing the name of each volunteer, plus an email address and a phone number.

In the event of rain or muddy conditions, we will have to reschedule for a later date. This event will be limited to 20 volunteers.

See you there!
