Medicine Wheel will be offering expertise, and assistance to the Air Force Academy on Saturday the 26th. The Academy is anticipating between 30 and 50 volunteers (Cadets) for this project.
Because this project is taking place on a military installation it will be necessary for each volunteer to RSVP back to me no later than 24 hours before the event (8:00 AM Friday the 25th) so we can inform the "Gate" prior to your arrival. It will be required for you to check in at the South entrance by announcing your presence to the Security Police, parking off to the side, returning to the guard shack and confirming your identity with a picture ID. If your name is not on the list you will not be allowed in.
This project will focus on a trail filling process which harvests mobile sediment in an effort to refill erosion voids. This will be done by building a series of check dams.
If you have any questions please feel free to call, and in the mean time keep the wheel rollin,
josh
