Hello!
This email is meant for the folks playing Spring League so if you are taking a sabbatical from organized ultimate right now and are annoyed by a mass email, feel free to ignore it or send me horrible spam mail. (Actually, please don't- I will cry.) Or read on and volunteer!
Our Spring League tournament (at U.S. Cellular) and party (at Jay Michalson's) is this Sunday and I am in need of a few helpers.
If one of these tasks is calling your name, email me. For the coolers/chairs/
- I want to buy our party drink/food/supplies at Costco but I don't have a membership. If anyone is a member and is planning on going to Costco this week, could I tag along and use your account to buy things? Or, could I give someone a specific list of things to buy and then reimburse you?
- We have organic, long-horn beef for the party and the defrosted meat will need to be made into patties during the start of the party. We have a patty-making press. Tyler and I plan to do this but we might get meated out. Would a few groups of 2 people be willing to make patties for a 30 min shift during the party? Who doesn't love playing with raw meat?
- Has anyone heard the joke about the woman who is 9 months pregnant who strolls into a liquor store to buy a keg? It's not a funny joke but it could be true unless I have someone take the reins. Truthfully, I know little about beer and less about kegs. Is there someone who could buy one keg of good beer for the party and bring it? You will be reimbursed for the cost and we'll even let you drink some of the beer.
- Does anyone have a folding table to spare?
- Things that you could bring to the party that would be helpful: extra coolers, camping chairs to sit on, and your own dishes/disk to eat off of, Cramp-Up style.
dishes, you can just bring it without emailing me. (Unless you really feel compelled to tell me that you will bring your own plate.) I will be sending out an email to all league folks about directions and party details.
I am grateful to have a community of people to beg favors from... You all are awesome and I am looking forward to a great end to league!
My thanks,
Katie Mae
Unrelated PS- Does anyone have a set of cones with BROOM written on it?
