The Pocomoke Open Water Swim Meet
Introducing a new open water event to be held on September 13, 2008 in Pocomoke City, MD. The concept is an introduction to open water swimming held in a swim meet style. Swimmers will swim distances, in heats of six to eight, of 100, 200 or 400 yards in a square shape of buoys with lane ropes strung between them. Each stroke will be offered as well as individual medleys and relays. We'll also offer a 1/2 mile swim in a clean fresh-water pond behind the Lower Shore YMCA.
