The Pocomoke Open Water Swim Meet
A great open water event to be held on August 22, 2009 in Pocomoke City, MD. The concept is an introduction to open water swimming held in a swim meet style. Swimmers will swim distances, in heats of six to eight, of 100, 200 or 400 yards in a square shape of buoys with lane ropes strung between them. Each stroke will be offered as well as individual medleys and relays. We'll also offer a 1/2 mile swim, all in a clean fresh-water pond behind the Lower Shore YMCA.
