My friend, if you were privy to Zem's inside E mails you would
realize how off base you are.  He's an excellent source of
information.  There are many things he's told us months ahead of time
and they almost always inevitably turn out to be true. He is a VERY
credible source of information.

The only thing is that sometimes he jokes around and thinks people
realize it and gets taken seriously...like the thing with McNeese
going to all blue uniforms.

But you're not going to find a better public source of information on
what's going on inside McNeese football than Zem.  He knows a lot
about what's going on in other places too...as he has personal
relationships with a number of college coaches around the state.

In referring to yourself as The Community, I wish to exclude myself
from whatever group you intend to represent. Keith's posts, either on
his Zem's Gems page or when he comes to one or another of the message
boards, are well researched and insightful. The fact that I don't
agree w/ some or even most of what he may write is not a reason for
me to wish him off this board. I would rather have the opportunity to
read and make my own mind up than have a censored enviorenment where
only the "right" people say nothing but the "right" things.

The Paint the Stadium Project had a successful painting weekend. Go
by Cowboy Stadium and see how much better it looks with the fresh
colors.

We are still looking to refurb the restrooms.

The Paint the Stadium Project has the public work weekend scheduled
for this weekend April 6, 2002. We will get started at 8:30AM with
check-in at the Cowboy Room. If you are in the area, please come by
and help us slap some paint on Cowboy Stadium.

I am watching the game on TV....I work at ESPN....so I lucked out and
we get the feed! I hope everyone else gets to watch as well!!! The
game is underway right now....GEAUX POKES!!!!!

Anyone know if the game will be on tv?  I sure would like to watch it
way out here in Santa Fe, New Mexico!  Its a friday game so I'm
pumped!  I've got my tickets to the thursday and saturday games at
The Pit in Albuquerque (they aint cheap either) and hopefully I can
see McNeese on tv on friday!

I was really hoping that McNeese would have been sent to
Albuquerque.  Oh well.

I agree, it did look pretty nice on television....I can't believe
that is where we graduated! LOL

While living in Lake Charles I was never too big of a fan of Burton
Coliseum, especially after going to games in the Civic Center as a
kid.  But I must admit, Burton looked pretty good on tv.  And my
friends watching the game with me were all impressed.  Thats pretty
cool seeing that a couple of them went to big schools (Texas Tech and
Oklahoma).

McNeese just beat UL Monroe (I still call them Northeast!) to get
their 2nd bid to the tournament!! I'm an alum who lives in
Connecticut now, and so glad I was able to watch my Cowboys win!!

Just watched the championship game on ESPN2 with some of my buddies
here in New Mexico!  Actually, they watched me watch the game because
I kept jumping up and yelling and cheering!  And at the end of the
game when the band played Jolie Blonde, we all did the hand clap and
swayed from side to side.  It was great to see how cool and calm Tic
Price was during the game and especially after.  The ESPN2 announcers
seemed kind of like they wanted to see ULM with the upset during the
game...lots of shots of ULM players and lots of conversation too.  I
know that they have that big Polish center who blocks shots.....but
he doesnt win the game for you.

McNeese clinched a share of their second straight
SLC mens basketball championship and goes for the
outright title this Thursday at home against Northwestern
Louisiana. They follow that with the last regular season
game against SFA. <br><br>McNeese has clinched a home
game in the tourney, and would clinch a first round
bye with a win Thursday or a loss by either ULM or
UTSA this week.<br><br>It's double championship week
the next two weeks at Burton !

Hopefully, there won't be many changes and the
ones there will be will be good ones.<br><br>Yahoo is
merging clubs and groups, so you may see some changes
coming up. <br><br>Maybe there will be more things we
can use. I hope we'll be able to use the chat room
sometimes.

that Coach Tate will begin his search for a new coach
to replace Scott immediately.If some of the other
fellows leave, he will have to get new guys in here by
spring training.This group on board now will have to
complete the recruiting.

Your interpretation is the one I was hoping for, too. I can wait for the author
to respond when he gets the chance, but thanks for the input. Let's hope we both

I believe that Zem is saying that McNeese will hire a coach soon, but I'll let
him clarify it for sure.

Keith: Do you mean an assistant coach that is currently @ McNeese w/b leaving
"very soon" or that McNeese w/b hiring an assistant coach to replace Coach
Stoker "very soon"?
