Hi,
Happy new year!
As some of you know, last March my shoulder had dislocated again and
I had my 4th sugery on my left shoulder and this one was particularly
invasive and originally I was told I would need to hang up my
speedo. This most recent surgery came only 6 month after the
previous one and there is only so much repair that can be done on my
shoulder.
Well at the end of last year I got a surprise when the doctor asked
me about my plans to return to diving. I had thought it was out of
the question completely, but he said with a little more time and
patience I can return in some capacity. I may be held to limits in
the begining, but sometime this year I would like to try some feet
first entries on 1M. I am not sure if or when I can enter
competitions again, but at least I can get to enjoy the sport again.
I wish everyone the best of luck at all the meets abroad this year,
but my goals are a little simpler and a little more local.
Heather

will be able to do in Perth. My dream dives right now are 207C and
5253D from 10m, but I don't think those will happen this year.

Hi Debbi, to answer your question about 2008, we don't yet have a firm commitment from Tennessee; once the Spring meet is set I'll send out an email to the whole list. I would imagine we'd try to stick with the May 18 weekend, but if we have to find another facility that may not be possible.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year with lots of diving!! Does anyone have any resolutions to learn a new dive?? I don't know about new ones, but I'd like to relearn the ones I've lost - anybody see them??? I want to get to know everyone on board - so if you have a minute post something about yourself with your name as I don't know who people are by their e-amil. Mine is easy since it's my name, but I can't figure out everyone. Pass the word to become a member - as the season for diving approaches it will be fun to keep up with everyone. By the way, do we have firm dates for the meets for 08? My vacation time is harder to get this year so I really need to plan in advance. Thanks! Debbi

I want to get to know everyone on board - so if you have a minute post
something about yourself with your name as I don't know who people are
by their e-amil. Mine is easy since it's my name, but I can't figure
out everyone. Pass the word to become a member - as the season for
diving approaches it will be fun to keep up with everyone.
By the way, do we have firm dates for the meets for 08? My vacation
time is harder to get this year so I really need to plan in advance.
Thanks!

Mary Bennett was recently updating her bio for Worlds in Sydney when
she got to a part that asked "which sports do you plan to participate
in?" She noticed that diving was listed as a choice. She is guessing
that it is official - diving is now included!
Ted posted this for Mary (computer problems)
I am really happy to see this get started. Sometimes in our day to day
life we forget to check the message board. This will be a way to get
all posts in our emails and stay connected as a group. We use this in
our dog agility group and it's great. Competition info, brags and
changes in rule proposals are all things that can be posted. I know
they have more local meets in some areas and it would be great to hear
the stories of the perfect and not so perfect dives. Lets encourage
everyone to join and participate!! Is there a way to do a blanket
email to let everyone know - or do we just need to spread the word?
Happy Diving!
Debbi
