Ok, voting has now
completed, and it’s tied 50/50 between Flycatcher and Dischead. However
Big Kev changed his vote from Flycatcher to Discheads so it turns out the
Dischead win in landslide 75% to 25%
Andre as kindly
volunteered to take over the running of Masters of Spin, so if you have any
questions please email him.
Also note: the Ultimate
Evolution Frisbee club (a.k.a. Discheads) are having their first AGM on Jan 22 –
for details contact Fred.

Some very valid points by John. Who
do we want to piss off the least?
The majority of the "old b@stards"
are Discheads. Even though I voted for Flycatchers, I think Discheads could be
the way to go from a "team" perspective....can I change my
vote?
I think that Phil, Fred and Matt
are all forming clubs, so we are free to choose.

Here is my opinion but I will go with what the team thinks
Let me call it OBU “Old B@st@rds United”
If we join the discheads we piss off the flycatchers and they will never join
If we join the flycatchers we piss off the discheads and they will never join
If we have a team only we pay more.
Also neither team is a club yet.
Against my advice SAFDA is pushing admin work to the clubs.
Not sure who in flycatchers will want to do this work.
Not sure who in the discheads will want to do this work.
I’m 100% sure that the only guy (outside the uni’s) that is really wanting to do admin work for a club is Phil Shields.
If we approach Phil with our team as part of his (and ultimately everyones, since you need to have elections) club then I’m certain this no brainer approach may be attractive to both discheads and flycatchers as well.
1 large club… governed by popular vote…. Phil doing the admin (he has time and wants to). Combined recruiting… and still we can have the existing separate teams.
Let me know what you think.
We can always move out if we don’t like the result.

Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
masters-of-spin group:
With the introduction of the Clubs policy next year the
Masters of Spin will have a choice to make. I assume
that there are people that will want to keep on playing
as the Masters of Spin. We need to decide if we are going
to be part of a club and if so which club? A lot of us
originally came from Discheads so that would be a good
club to be part of. Also there is the Flycatchers (that
we had some cross-over with this last season). Alternatively
we don't have to be part of a club either, we can keep on
playing as a "team" - it just means we will have to pay
slightly higher fees.
So what would you like to do:
(if you don't want to play in the Masters of Spin you don't
have to reply)
o Play as a team
o Play as a team of the Discheads Club
o Play as a team of the Flycaters Club
