Okay,
So when I came to the realization that I couldn't cover every skate in Eastern Massachusetts I thought to myself 'Gee, wouldn't it be great if I created a network for goalies all over Massachusetts? Hmmm... Let me think about this one... Hells Yeah!!!

So from that day forward there came into being 'Mass Goalies' or 'The Mass Goalies Network'. Right now 'Mass Goalies' is being supported by the Mass Goalies Yahoo Group. The Yahoo Group functions as an Message Board/Email List Server where goalies can signup to recieve goalie leads/requests from various leagues, teams and or pickup groups in Massachusetts and surrounding areas. Thus bridging the gap between teams in need of goalies and goalies in search of teams and or other goalies.

Whether the need is temporary or permanent, Mass Goalies ensures that goalie requests go out to as many goalies as possible. It allows leagues, teams and groups to build up a list of backup goalies in their area. Goalies also benefit from the Mass Goalies Yahoo Group because they make connections that they may not ordinarily make through other basic networking. The Yahoo Group also ensures that goalies from all areas are contacted to help ensure full coverage.

To backup the Yahoo Group I also created a 'Last Minute Goalie Call List', documenting all of the goalies in The Mass Goalies Network, their telephone contact info and their locations. This is good for those last minute voids when you need to find a local goalie FAST or if you're just trying to find other goalies in your area.

So feel free to call or email me anytime they are in need of a goalie. If I am available I'll do my best to help anyone I can. Unfortunately I cannot ensure 100% coverage on all skates. It's up to other goalies to do their part and pitch in whenever and wherever they can. (Also, the more lead time I get the better your chances are of finding a goalie.) What I can ensure is a system that helps connect our hockey community.
