I think you may have meant "to try for the NL East crown" and not the
pennant. The Marlins have won the NL pennant -- twice. "Winning the
pennant" means winning your league's title and playing in the World
Series. Every team that has ever played in the World Series won their
league's pennant.

And I think the Marlins should try to win every game for the rest of the
season, and the playoff slots will hopefully come one way or another.
