I have been totally forgetting to put this news up, and you might
already know, but here it is.
Mark sprained his right ankle last Saturday during some rundown
drills, and EK's back has been stiff.
"Eric Karros (back) and Mark Grudzielanek (right ankle) will try to
play on Sunday against the Kansas City Royals. Shortstop Alex
Gonzalez (right hamstring) continues to progress but isn't ready for
games yet."
Mark and EK both made their Cub debut on Sunday agains the Kansas
City Royals.
"Mark Grudzielanek and Eric Karros were both in the starting lineup
Sunday at second and first base, respectively. Grudzielanek has been
slowed this spring by a sprained right ankle, while Karros has been
nursing a sore back. Neither got a hit against the Royals."
Mark only got two at bats. He also played today, but I'm not sure
for how long. I was listening on the internet, but I missed an hour
and a half of the game, 'cause I had class, but I know he played
today, and I believe he was batting the second slot. On Sunday he
bat leadoff.
