Hi all,
With most local baseball league seasons over or coming to an end soon,
I decided to start a fall baseball league in order to have a place
where guys who don't want to wait til next spring to play ball can
still get out on the field. I hope you can join. Here are the details:
9 games each + playoff (games will be on weekends)
7 inning games (9 if both teams agree, and time allows). Sorry,
couldn't get the fields for more than 4 hrs a day.
$85 per player (for home-plate umpire volunteers, fee is reduced by
$20 for each game you work)
I have fields reserved and ready to go. I apologize for the short
notice, but the Seattle Parks Dept was slow in getting back to me. In
order to fit a 9 gm (+ playoff) schedule in, we need to have our
opening day a week from this Sunday (on Aug 17).
In order to get this going as efficiently as possible, I'm going to do
sign-ups on a first come, first served basis. There are 48 player
spots, and I have 29 guys committed already. That leaves 19 spots,
which I'm pretty sure we can get fairly quickly. I'm sending this
email to baseball friends, friends of friends, and teammates of
friends. Feel free to fwd it to others you think may be interested also.
I'm going to spend the next 10 days getting the teams together, and
buying team t-shirts, league baseballs, and league gear.

We'll have a league website w/ the schedule, standings, and other
league info. You can see the site here:
