Hi All,
Apparently Manny's knee isn't as bad as reported before. Here's the
latest news.

BOSTON -- The Red Sox got some good news Wednesday on the health of
Manny Ramirez, who underwent an MRI on his sore right knee Wednesday
in Boston and missed his ninth straight game.
"Everything came back very good, that was good news," said manager
Terry Francona, who indicated earlier in the day the team wanted to
see if the slugger was dealing with a stress fracture. "We just wanted
to make sure and we didn't want to miss something. And I don't think
anybody thought it was a stress fracture, but we need to rule out
everything. That was good news."
Ramirez, who has been bothered by a sore right knee since just before
the All-Star break, is second on the team in homers (34) and RBIs (101).
"The way it was explained to me by Dr. [Thomas] Gill, if you do it
now, the stress fracture would be healing over, so you could see it
now," Francona said. "You couldn't see it a month ago -- or whenever.
They're just trying to cover all the bases."
"Then, if it stays at the diagnosis [of patella] tendinitis, then we
know what it is, we've eliminated everything [else] and just wait
until he's OK," he added.
For now, all the Red Sox can do is wait on the results and observe how
Ramirez responds to continued physical therapy.
"You could do some [electronic stimulation] and ice to try and enhance
the recuperative process," said Francona, "but rest is really what
does him more good than anything else, unfortunately. We need to know."
