HI ALL
GREAT GROUPS! I have just joined both of the groups, and I really
love pics of majorettes, especially the ones who wear white kneehigh
boots. I used to be in a high school band, so I feel I know where I'm
coming from. Keep up the good work!

I am now considering turning off both the Files and the Photos sections at my
Groups as I am more and more finding nude postings, along with pay-site crap.
Folks can then only post via Messages, which gives you TOTAL CONTROL of what
Group members are exposed to. The added plus is that you can immediately ban the
offending person!
This is really the only way to prevent unwanted postings.
Take Care!

Do like I do!
Just go to "Settings" and set controls to where all message require approval.
When reviewing messages is the best time to "ban" someone for sending
inappropiate messages.
"Banning" someone is harder if they have posted X-rated, etc. stuff in the
"Photos" section and then removed their membership, as it only tells you the
person's name, not their e-mail address below the pics they've posted. I have
this stuff happen allllll the time!
Take Care!!
This site has a lot of great cards. I was able to get approved in 30
seconds for two different cards. Check it out for yourself.

A few years back I was in the custom dance shoe and parade boot
business in Texas; and I can remember at least a few customers who
wanted their boots supplied with dance taps, heel and toe. I don't
know whether they still march/dance in taps or not; but they were the
Weatherford, Texas H.S. drill team; the Reisel, TX drill team, the
Meridian, TX majorettes, the Tenaha, TX majorettes, Woodville, TX
majorettes, and the Port Neches/Groves HS drill team. Also, the
Tyler Jr. College "Apache Belles" drill team has taken to tap dancing
in white boots on wooden prop-drums as a halftime novelty number.
But I don't think I had anything to do with that one!
Also, I am preparing a sort-of retirement business of custom dance
taps for ALL footwear, including ballet pointe shoes. There should
be some taps made of bell bronze pretty soon, if all goes OK. 'still
working a 50+ hour/wk job and hating it; but a change may be around
the corner. But no more leather work, I hope!

Unfortunately, the sounds of a large group of majorettes marching or
chorus-kicking in dance-tapped boots is all but gone, especially on
TV or any medium that can be "canned". But a few years back, as the
Kilgore Jr. College (Texas) band and Rangerette Drill Team were
passing the TV stand in the New Year's Cotton Bowl Parade on CBS TV;
the announcer exclaimed, "Just listen to those taps!", as the band
majorettes (not the Rangerettes) clicked by in gorgeous outfits and
kneeboots with jingle taps. That piercing, metallic sound of
crunching icicles was punctuating each step these beauties took. A
rare moment, probably lost forever, but not forgotten.
If anybody knows of a tapping majorette group today; or perhaps you
danced/twirled in one of yesteryear, please chime in! This is a
twist on tap dancing that needs a revival!
Told ya it would be painless

i just accessed the club and was surprised to find the photos still
here.i did get most backed up anyway at home, but i am glad yahoo
transferred them anyway.sure makes life easier.hope all enjoy the
club, will try to get more posted as soon as i can, thanks,tk
i have backed up all the photos today and the
current member list for when yahoo changes this club to
groups.if anyone else wants to backup also, please go
ahead.it wouldnt hurt.
i dont plan at this time to do
it myself.from my understanding i guess yahoo will
do it for me.am not sure of the photos being carried
over.
anyway, thanks all for growing this club.i hope
soon i can get busy posting more pics.take care all,tk
From what I understand, the conversion from club
to group will be automatic and all urls will work
the same. I am not sure when all this will take place
but supposily if they have to change the name of the
club/group for some reason Yahoo will notify you. My advice,
hang tight until it changes.
hope all goes weel for all you folks in the next
year.
also i need input on what we should do with this
yahoo clubs/groups thing.does any one have a
clue?should we keep it the same or should we do the
conversion.my main worry is losing the club.take care all,tk
