Reply | Forward Message #223 of 524 |
Greetings
Due to the inclement weather, the UPA Coaching Clinic has been Postponed Due to
the incoming Storm to Sat. 3/24/07, Same Time and Schedule. THIS IS THE ONLY
TIME THAT IT CAN BE RESCHEDULED! IF YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR THE CLINIC WITH THE
UPA AND
CANNOT MAKE IT, PLEASE LET THE UPA KNOW AS WELL AS LETTING US KNOW SO THAT WE
CAN ANTICIPATE HOW MANY FOLKS CAN BE THERE ON SATURDAY, 3/24. THE UPA WILL
ISSUE A CREDIT TO YOUR CREDIT CARD IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT. Thanks!

We're officially NOT doing it tomorrow.  The only time Josh can make it is next Sunday.  Rich, can you see if USM is available then?  If it is, then we can see if people can still make it, and decide whether to proceed or not.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do I email the yahoo group?  Or can somebody please do it ASAP and let them know it's NOT tomorrow, and ask if they would come Sunday 3/25?

thanks,
Alex

My last conversation with USM stated that we should call the USM Hotline tomorrow morning.

We have folks coming down from Orono and I am assuming much farther.  If the roads are bad, I'd rather see us reschedule than make them drive.

Josh, how do you feel about driving in inclement weather?

But, the weather this winter really hasn't been that bad.

As of right now this is what the NOAA is saying about Portland:

Tonight: Periods of snow, mixing with rain after 2am. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 25. Blustery, with a northeast wind between 18 and 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches possible.

Saturday: Periods of rain, snow and sleet before 8am, then periods of rain or freezing rain between 8am and 2pm, then periods of rain after 2pm. High near 36. Northeast wind 9 to 18 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday Night: Periods of rain before 8pm, then a chance of snow showers. Low around 26. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 13 mph increasing to between 18 and 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

That's not looking too good to me....

What do you ya'll think?

Hey folks,

If it's dangerous to drive and get to the clinic, then I don't want people to take any risks and we can refund money due to weather, or if folks think that rescheduling is an option, that would be great. I'm in Baltimore at the moment and have definitely felt the weather change.

Could you please relay any and all information, including updates on the weather, to the participants? Particularly, Dan Cogan-Drew is looking for an update and specifics on the location so he can decide about the drive in poor weather.

Thanks! (Since I am at the conference and not on email much during the day, please try me on my cell 206-390-6983 if anything comes up).

Only other options are to postpone or cancel - I assume Josh may have an

Just recieved an e-mail from Jenny @ USM and she said that with the storm on
its way, USM might cancel everything on Saturday.  If this happens, what
will be our contingency plan?

Roll Tide

How legit is that, Red Tide still getting the $hit done.  Do you think the
DoG guys or the Furious guys do any of this?
