Look forward to seeing you, Jim.  Come on by the house, but if you don’t want to negotiate the driveway, we’ll meet you at the bridge.

Folks,

I'm thinking of a longish (50 mile?) ride on Sunday morning. Could do it
Monday if I had to, but would refer Sunday.

Any interest? Or is that the day many of you are riding in the Valley?

Folks,

Let’s meet at Madison County High School for a 9 am departure.  (Park in the back of the High School.  Soon as you enter from 29 take a sharp right.)

I propose one of the following routes (the difference being Ruth Rd. at the beginning or at the end):

http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/fullscreen/48947558/

http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/fullscreen/48947290/

Let me know if you plan to be there.   This would be a great tune up for those of you doing the Valley Century the next day!

Ok gang, who is going? Bates? Aden? Kathi? Jeff? Ivan? Anyone else?

Jim T. says he is going.

Michael and I are going (weather permitting - I'm not riding in the rain), and
riding 50 since our best-laid-plans didn't materialize for century training.

Best of luck to Barry in the Civil War Century on Saturday!

Folks,

The Tour de Madison 25th anniversary cycling jersey is now available for sale.    They are $40.  Bring or send me a check made out to “Madison Parks and Recreation Authority” and we’ll figure out how to get your jersey to you.  We have Club Cut, a few Race Cut, and Women’s Cut.

We only have fifty and, of course, I had to guess about how many of each size we need.   When these run out we probably won’t have them available again until next year’s tour.  Those will also likely be $50 rather than $40 so act now!

Folks,

Bates and I spoke about meeting up at Brightwood General Store tomorrow.  And I’ve also texted Jane.  We may have a “group” ride!!!!  Let’s say 10:00 am departure for 30 miles or so.

I’ll have the Tour Jerseys with me and be there a little early if anyone want to buy one.

Folks,

This is a call to ride on New Years Eve.  We will do the Kelly’s Ford Flyer—a wonderful 31 mile, very flat ride.

We will meet at the Ruritan Building on Fleetwood Heights Road.  Turn west at the stoplight on Rt. 29 at Brandy Station onto Alanthus Road (away from the village, toward the mountains) and then take an immediate right on to Fleetwood Heights. The Ruritan grounds are about a half mile away on the left.

You might give me a heads up if you’re coming so we don’t leave you behind.  WE WILL DEPART AT 1:30 pm without fail!

Folks,

As all of you are planning your spring riding schedule be sure to put the 59th annual “Barry’s Birthday Ride” on your calendar.  April 1st is my 59th.  But we will ride a day early.  Saturday, March 31.

Depending on the wishes of the confirmed riders, we will either ride a single 59 mile loop or two loops that together add up to 59 miles.  Afterward I am sure something involving beer and food will happen!  Put it on your calendar now.

I do not have online registration!  But there is online registration for the Tour de Madison on May 19.  Check it out.

However, if you would, instead of following Barry's link directly, how about using the "official" Tour de Madison website. This link gives much more detailed information regarding the day's festivities: www.tourdemadison.com.
