Its that time again!!!

As everyone knows, this batizado will focus on the kids. We do
however have quite a few adults that will be ready for their cord as
well. Whether a student receives a cord at this event or not, know
that I am very proud of everyone. Everyone has worked very hard. It
has been a real pleasure watching all of our students grow. I would
especially like to thank all of the parents for their dedication as
well. Without them, we wouldn't have a kids program. I know how
hard it is to not only push your child to make a commitment, but to
also stay committed yourself by helping them at home,and getting them
in their uniform and out the door in time. Its not easy, and I
appreciate all of it.

Here are some details for the event. If you have any questions

as well.

Uniform: All students must have White capoeira pants and
a white school shirt. Pants may be ordered from virtualcapoeira.com
They have a sizing chart and their quality and prices are the best I
know of on the internet. Shirts are available at the academy. After
the unifrom is purchased, it must be worn to every class, no
exceptions. Usually we do a special event shirt for the batizado.
This year we will just be wearing the white Academy shirt (not a
shirt from any of our other events).

Testing: We will be testing the kids on September 1st
and 3rd. Cord requirements are available at the academy. Students
must not only know how to perform each of the required moves, but
also know the names. Variances will be made for kids based on their
age and their developmental stage.

Cost: Batizado will be $75 for those receiving a cord,
$25 for those not receiving a cord and will be due no later than
September 8th. We can charge your ASF account as well if you would
like. Spectators (parents, friends, family included) will be $5 at
the door.

Filming: This batizado, filming will be allowed. Still
photographs will also be allowed.
