Thanks to Mike and Mike and Kendra for continued posts/activity with
M2T2. Even though I've never met any of you, when the club gets
going again, I look forward to it. Not that I've been here a while -
only a few months - but I've been doing the MPTC Sunday 7am brick
at Lover's Point (met Mindy and Tim once) and the Friday 6pm swim,
also at Lover's Point. Although it sounds like, talking to Jay from
MPTC, that those two events will go on hiatus since the PG Tri is
now officially in the books - btw I'm hurting bigtime from the
festivities this morning, although not as much as my first olympic a
few months ago - you may have seen me, I was the guy in the purple
jersey on the side of the road at the bike turn-around with the
flat :( Had to pull over 3 times with tire issues, cost me about
30 minutes, but finished with a good run. Anyhoo, I've posted a
couple times to this forum, asking how the meetings were announced,
but got pretty much blown off, but that's ok, I'll hang around until
things start happening.
I don't have a lot of time to volunteer to set things up, but I will
volunteer my services to take over the maintenance of this Yahoo
page from the previous owner (who PCS'd). This spam has got to
stop, it's fairly ridiculous, I think making it a moderated forum
will do the trick. There will be a slight delay in posting messages
(I'll have to approve them, thereby weeding out the spam). If there
are no objections to this idea, I'll contact the owner and set it up.
Mike McFerron - I dug your webpage, Bill's comments sounded pretty
good to me too. You asked who wants to handle the mail from the
Contact a Team Member link - I'll do that in conjunction with my
anti-spam effort, if you don't have any other vols. I think the
M2T2 yahoo address will work for this, and I will simply respond to
the email, not allow it to enter the forum.
Mike Martin - I'll be there for any and every winter duathlon series
you set up! What's the Tues Crit?
Kendra et al - IS M2T2 registered with USAT? If not, it only costs
$10 initially/then $8 per year, and gets all members $3 off USAT
annual membership, and discounts in tri registrations (for example,
$25 off the Cali HalfIron next year, which is a pretty nice
discount!). We can use the roster you have for DeSoto to register
with USAT too. If no one else has done/wants to do this, I'll do it.
