Subject: [M2T2] FW: Triathlon at Pacific Grove Application Online
Dear Triathlete,
On March 1 at 6 a.m. PST, the Triathlon at Pacific Grove scheduled for September 11, 2004, will go on-line at www.tricalifornia.com. The 2003 event reached maximum capacity very quickly and our first two 2004 Tri-California Events, the Jamba Juice Wildflower Triathlons and Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, sold out in a matter of days so we recommend that you register early. Often referred to as the "Rolls Royce" of triathlons, the looped course of the Triathlon at Pacific Grove is located at Lovers Point with the natural beauty of the 17 Mile Drive, Cannery Row, the famous Kelp Crawl, and more. We invite you to come and join us this fall.
If you have participated in the event last year and two other previous years, you are eligible for early registration. If you did not receive a special invitation e-mail to register early, please e-mail us at www.tricalifornia.com with your name, date of birth, email address and the years you raced, and we will research your information.
If you are a Tri-Cal Faithful and participated in all five Tri-California triathlons in 2003 or in 10 Tri-California triathlons in the last three years, you are also eligible for an early registration. If you will e-mail us at www.tricalifornia.com with your name, date of birth, e-mail address and the races and dates you competed in, we will send you a special invitation also.
Tri-California has partnered with the Challenged Athletes Foundation as our “featured” charity, and we are committed to supporting their great organization. I am personally requesting that you consider a contribution to CAF along with your Tri-California entry. We have included an option on our application for you to make a donation with your entry. I hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity. We don’t have any special gift or prize for you if you do, but I can guarantee you that when you see these children and adults competing in a triathlon, you will be blessed when you think about how you have helped. For more information on the CAF www.challengedathletes.org.
This year’s applications also include opportunities to register for training camps, purchase merchandise and other items associated with the events at the same time. We are trying to make it as easy as possible.
We will be conducting our second full year of training camps, mainly for novice and intermediate ability level triathletes, although we will cater our programs for all levels. Our resident USA Triathlon Expert coaches, Brent Allen and Sharon Osgood, will be coordinating the camps and bringing in professional triathletes and other experts in the sport to make sure that these are the best camps for "Your Ultimate Performance." Camps are limited in size, so I recommend that you register with your application. Wildflower and Escape camps have already reached maximum capacity. Treat yourself to this great pre-race experience. You can preview the camp information at http://www.tricalifornia.com/trainingcamps/
Thank you for your loyal support, and we look forward to seeing you in 2004.
God Bless,
Terry Davis
