Rich,<br><br>This form as well as other things,
helps perfect the turning stance/weight
distribution.<br><br>The hips should turn no more than 45 degrees as in
the turning punch but the upper body turns a full
180.<br><br>Why use the Lan Saos? Well think of the as being
weights, offset from your centre of balance. <br><br>The
turns should be crisp.<br><br>If your stance is not
correct you will/can lose
