Thanks so much for your quick response and enthusiasm!! I am currently in the last 4 weeks of my beginning training program just so that I can reach a solid 30 minutes roughly covering 3 miles. I currently am running 4 days a week, with 2 cross training days, and a day of rest. I plan to start my marathon training program on Dec. 27th (it runs for 16 weeks ending on the day of the SLC marathon – April 17th). Which means I have about 9 weeks in between both programs to take on speed increases, and distance increase. I am still planning on running roughly 4-5 days a week Starting October 26th (M, W, S, S). I live near Liberty park (Sugar-hood area), and I am really looking for ladies to do a combo of easy runs and quality/tempo runs, in the evening throughout the week. Saturdays – long distance runs. (obviously, starting small for me).
Ultimately – I want to be a tri-athlete…so, I thought your group would be good to hook up with in any regard, for my current physical goals and status as an athlete as well as long term.
Please feel free to pass my contact info along to whomever might be interested. I know that safety is in the numbers, especially during the hours that I currently train at. I know my husband would feel much better if I ran with other people. I would too!

Beth that is awesome! I have yet to run a marathon. You go girl!!!! Team Luna chix is a group of women who love to get out with other women and inspire each other. Our season runs from may to october with run and bike workouts as well as a few open water swim clinics. We also raise money for the breast cancer fund. Although our organized season is over, that does not mean we don't/can't get together and work out. I can send out your information to the e-mail list and see if anyone else would like to train along with you for the marathon. I would be interested as well! Where in the valley do you live? and what is your schedule as far as training goes? We have girls on the team that are available during the day and in the evening to train. One girl in paritcular comes to mind. She was struggling to run a mile in the beginning of the season, and ran her first 5 miler last week and was so elated!!!! It's awesome to see the accomplishments we can make when we support each other!!
