Wow, what a couple of weeks! Check out the important announcements below including the status of the 2009 Ogden Valley Tri as well as the new Woman of Steel - Open Water together with Utah's first ManTri the Friday night before!

Ogden Valley Triathlon - postponed to 2010

Due to circumstances beyond TriUtah's control, it is necessary for us to postpone the Ogden Valley Tri until 2010. In its place, we are planning open water events for the same weekend (see below). While we are disappointed that the OVTri will not take place this year, we are in close contact with the OVTri venue regarding the future of the race. They have assured us that this year's issues will not be a problem in 2010 and beyond. We hope that by offering another open water event on the same weekend that you will be able to join us at Utah's newest open water triathlon venue! We certainly don't want your training to go to waste!! Check out the details on Utah's newest races below...

Woman of Steel Open Water & the ManTri - you've been asking and we deliver!

Mark the dates: September 11th and 12th! On September 12th, TriUtah will host the 1st Annual Woman of Steel Open Water Triathlon! Registration will be limited to the first 400 women. We'll announce the venue and course details next week, as well as the date and link for online registration. Get your friends together and get ready for what will surely be the most exciting tri this season! And....

Not to be outdone, it's the "ManTri" the night before on Friday, September 11th at the same venue! The women have their race, so it's only fair that the guys get their's! Registration is limited to the first 400 men. We'll be sending out the details next week, but be assured that this will be an event guys won't want to miss! Have an idea that you think we should include for the men's race? Send it to info@...

ManTri name contest

Although we like the "ManTri" name, we've decided to see what our TriUtah athletes can come up with! Submit your event name idea to info@... Contest entries will be accepted until Wednesday, July 29th at noon. If your submission is chosen as the event name, you will win a complimentary entry to either the Woman of Steel Open Water or the "ManTri"!
