Ciao Carol!
I totally agree with you...I hate driving in a lot of traffic too!
LOL! The story you told me about your experiences at bowling were so
funny!!!LOL!
As I have already said I too am so disappointed for Milan....! I
hope they will win next game! Next sunday Serie A teams won't play
beacuse of the match for the qualification to Euro2008: on Saturday
there will be Italia-Ucraina on RAI1! Then, on Wednesday 11 October
Italy will play against Georgia! So Serie A will re-start on
October, 15th! Hope you'll be able to see Italy matches!!!
I don't know the book you bought...btw hope you'll enjoy it!
Have a nice day,
kisses
aly

Coach Roberto Donadoni has recalled Luca Toni and Alessandro Del Piero to his Italy squad for the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers against Ukraine and Georgia.

ACF Fiorentina striker Toni, who has scored nine goals in 24 appearances for his country, has not been selected since the Azzurri's victory in the 2006 FIFA World Cup final against France. Del Piero, who is currently playing in Serie B with Juventus, has also been called up for the first time since the match in Berlin.

Two other Juventus players are included in the squad, goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and midfielder Mauro Camoranesi. Meanwhile Donadoni omitted forwards Antonio Cassano and Alberto Gilardino, who both played in Italy's first two Group B qualifying games - a 1-1 draw against Lithuania and a 3-1 defeat France. Italy play Ukraine in Rome on 7 October and Georgia in Tbilisi four days later.

Thanks, Viviana.  I only heard a small portion of the song so I'll have to see if I like him.  I'll check these out.  THANKS!

I'm not a massive fan of Vasco Rossi, but I must admit that he's talented and that some of his songs are very beautiful. That one is very nice. They used this song also for a very popular FIAT commercial.
If you're interested in hearing more songs by him, you can look for these songs, which I personally consider very good:
'Un senso'
'Come stai'
'Canzone'
'Giocala'
'Bollicine'
There are others I could suggest, but perhaps this is already enough for you at the moment!

When watching the Inter game this weekend on Fox Soccer Channel, they played a video montage to promote "Calcio Italia" (the airing of Serie A games on their channel).  The short montage was to music and, while I didn't get to hear much of it, I rather liked what I could hear.  It was in Italian and I don't know if the song's name is the same as the refrain but they kept saying "senza parole."  (Without words and the last shot just as the song says senza parole again is Adriano with his index finger over his mouth looking like he' saying "shhhhh."  Aly or Viviana, might you know what song this is and who it's by?

Hi Aly and Pau,
quite frankly I don't have any other song to add to this list, because the ones Aly mentioned are also my favourite ones right now!
I especially like 'Io' by Gianna Nannini, 'Il mondo nuovo' by Neffa and 'Bacco Perbacco' by Zucchero. Therefore, I think Aly gave you very good tips!
You can download them and then tell us which ones you prefer!
It's also true that in Italy we listen to a lot of British and American music, and the Italian songs are usually more melodic, traditional and less challenging from an international point of view. However, there are many Italian singers as those already mentioned,  trying to write more 'international' songs, and I do like them very much.
Enjoy!

It's a very good way to learn a language through songs! Well done!
"Sei parte di me" (Zero Assoluto)

"Bacco Perbacco" (Zucchero)
"Io" (Gianna Nannini)
"Il mondo nuovo" (Neffa)

I can't remember other titles just right now...believe me! I'm sorry

When watching the Inter game this weekend on Fox Soccer Channel, they played a video montage to promote “Calcio Italia” (the airing of Serie A games on their channel).  The short montage was to music and, while I didn’t get to hear much of it, I rather liked what I could hear.  It was in Italian and I don’t know if the song’s name is the same as the refrain but they kept saying “senza parole.”  (Without words and the last shot just as the song says senza parole again is Adriano with his index finger over his mouth looking like he’ saying “shhhhh.”  Aly or Viviana, might you know what song this is and who it’s by?

Enjoy!

Here is a list of some songs that are famous in Italy right now!
It's a very good way to learn a language through songs! Well done!
"Sei parte di me" (Zero Assoluto)
"Ed ero contentissimo" (Tiziano Ferro)
"Bacco Perbacco" (Zucchero)
"Io" (Gianna Nannini)
"Il mondo nuovo" (Neffa)

I can't remember other titles just right now...believe me! I'm sorry
but here in Italy we are bombarded every day with english and
american songs and...young people like me, love so much foreign
songs so that I use to listen to them...! I'm sorry....As far as I

Ciao carissima!
Tutto ok? Spero di sì! Da voi piove? Da noi è variabile e fa un caldo umido insopportabile!
Ti abbraccio e grazie ancora per registrare le puntate!!
Baci
Viviana

Hey Lorelai,
I think Mel is definitely right. We all have so many things to do- school, babysitting, work, family and so on...! Therefore, nobody was offended, and I think that we are just replying as much as we can to the group emails!
As you can see, I've been away from my laptop for three days for several reasons, but now I'm back and glad to find your emails and to reply to them!

I have been able to keep up with current e-mails and it's been nice. I too hope that the decrease in e-mails is not because of your discussion. I had mentioned this to Vivi and I truly want to reiterate that I love this group and the members in it and I enjoy your e-mails thoroughly and I want to apologize if someone was offended by my comments, and decided to not post because of it. If it did and this is the case I want to say I am sorry, that was never my intention. Okay, I've said my peace I hope if anyone was upset at me they can accept my apology.

Hi Lorelai,
You are right, The email load has gone down drastically. I miss the floods, hahahaha.
I am sure its not coz of our discussion:) But enjoy it while you can, once our group pics up speedagain, we wont have this leisure time to catch up on our mails LOL
Take care,

I love this group and I love the comradery and how everyone is involved. I agreed with you're post about maybe trying to find a way to not flood peoples e-mail boxes. I have noticed a change in the amount of e-mails generated by the group, but I doubt that anything we've said on this topic is the reason behind it.

Hugs to all!

Hi Lorelai,
i know what you mean,as the email load does get a little out of control if we dont chk it everyday, but i realised that its more fun replying to individual emails, as there is a continuation in the conversation. with a compiled mail like the one i wrote it becomes one huge mess.
i liked your suggestion about writing personal emails ,but sometimes its fun to get involved out of the blue in a conversation, even if you werent a part of it to begin with. i guess thats the fun of being part of this group. Lol. From my side, im just cutting down on the number of emails i send out in a day. i read all of them and enjoy them, but i dont reply to each and every mail,as that would take up my time and yours
and personally, the day i c too few mails in my inbox, i dont like it . its nice to have it overflow, even if i cant read it all at once, hahaha.
I would like to point out that offlate the number of mails have decreased considerbaly.
i guess the conclusion of my email is - no change hahaha.
Love to all,
Forza Awesome group!!!
Baci - Salma.

Hi Lorelai,
it's certainly true that it would be possible to reduce the amount of emails in our respective inboxes, if we answered trying to concentrate everything in few emails, or replying in private.
As for me, I'll do my best to write less emails with short replies!
Thanks for the suggestion

This is a great idea, Salma. I'm having a very hard time keeping track of e-mails due to the intense volume. I think if everyone just replies to personal e-mails directly to the sender outside the group it would keep the numbers down. We all get the group members personal e-mail address when we open up the e-mail and it would be so easy to just reply directly to them than to reply to them via the group and take up more e-mail box space. Just my humble opinion.

Hi Lorelai,
i know what you mean,as the email load does get a little out of control if we dont chk it everyday, but i realised that its more fun replying to individual emails, as there is a continuation in the conversation. with a compiled mail like the one i wrote it becomes one huge mess.
i liked your suggestion about writing personal emails ,but sometimes its fun to get involved out of the blue in a conversation, even if you werent a part of it to begin with. i guess thats the fun of being part of this group.
Love to all,

it's certainly true that it would be possible to reduce the amount of emails in our respective inboxes, if we answered trying to concentrate everything in few emails, or replying in private.

Hi   Aly!
glad to hear that your driving is getting
better and better!  I hate driving in a lot of
traffic, but give me lovely weather, open
road and good music on the radio and I am
a Happy woman  I totally stink at bowling LOL
I have dropped the ball on my foot (thank the
heavens for those hideous shoes they make
you wear to bowl lol) and I have let the ball
slip out of my hand on the back swing and
sent friends running LOL  It's just not my game
LOL but I still have fun at it.  I did not get to see
the Milan game...but I got to see Lazio and they
were amazing against Torino.  I followed other games
on the computer and I am just sick about Milan's
inability to score...it is getting very frustrating and it
just makes me mad all over again that they did not
get Crespo back!  Glad to see Toni on the score
line again and that Fiorentino got a good win.  I
just picked up the book "The Devil Wears Prada"
and I'm getting ready to pour a glass of wine, sit
outside in the shade and enjoy!!
Kisses,
Carol

Ciao Pau!
Here is a list of some songs that are famous in Italy right now!
It's a very good way to learn a language through songs! Well done!
"Sei parte di me" (Zero Assoluto)
"Ed ero contentissimo" (Tiziano Ferro)
"Bacco Perbacco" (Zucchero)
"Io" (Gianna Nannini)
"Il mondo nuovo" (Neffa)

I can't remember other titles just right now...believe me! I'm sorry
but here in Italy we are bombarded every day with english and
american songs and...young people like me, love so much foreign
songs so that I use to listen to them...! I'm sorry....As far as I
can remember other songs I'll let you know! Maybe Vivi will help you
too with other songs that are famous just right now!
kisses
aly

I am glad to hear that your teachers are
not giving you too much homework and

it as she likes.  She is wanting a puppy now

a couple of games and then I'm heading out to
the home improvement store to pick up some
paint for Brocks room.
