I heard the same thing from Vivi. I'm relived to hear it's just homes and no lives lost. I heard from Aly and this is what she said:

Luckily I'm well, my parents and everyone I know is safe too.
I'm quite far from L'Aquila (the city where the big earthquake caused the big tragedy).. my town is at about 250 kilometers from there but it was TERRIBLE even if in my town the earthquake was not that strong! I'm a bit scared but I try not to worry too much..

I'm so happy to hear she's well too, even tho it's a scary time right now. I'm so heartbroken to see the images of the destruction in the news. I hope the aftershocks stop so they can continue with the rescue efforts. It's such a beautiful country and such warm people that it's sad to see them go through something this awful.

Hello everyone.  I heard from Viviana and she is fine.  I have not heard from Aly.  Viviana said they are still feeling aftershocks from the earthquake which is very terrible.  A few of her friends have lost their homes.
 
My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Italy as they deal with this major tragedy.

It's me Lorelai--I know it's been so long. I hope everyone still remembers me. I've been well and I hope all of you have as well. I was online today emailing Aly and Vivi--the tragic earthquake in Italy has me concerned for everyone there and obviously my friends that live there. I don't know if anyone has heard from either of them or anyone else in the group that live there. I hope to hear from all of you old friends soon. Please add my new email.
