Fiorentina striker Luca Toni has failed to rule out the possibility
of sensationally leaving the Viola this summer.
Toni, 31 goals this season, has been strongly linked with a move to
Inter and he has today conceded that he doesn't know what the future
holds.
"There are a few problems between the club and myself at this moment
in time," said Toni who is believed to be after a new contract.
"The President and myself have started to talk, but there are a few
things which we don't agree on right now.
"However, I can promise the fans that they will be the first to know
how things are going as I have nothing to hide.
"It is clear that we both have a desire to talk and, if this
happens, then it shouldn't take too long to sort things out. But you
need two for a marriage.
"It's nice to hear that the club still believe in me, but we'll now
have to see whether that is really true."
Toni has had a fantastic first season at the Stadio Artemio Franchi
since he left Palermo at the end of last term.
He netted 31 goals in 36 games and is now set to spearhead Italy's
attack at Germany 2006 after joining up with the squad today.
"We all just want to prepare as best we can for the tournament, then
I'll discuss things with my club," he commented.
