Did anyone notice that the results for Papa John's were not by chip
time, but by actual time. Does anyone know if the mini is going to
change to be that way this year? Sure doesn't encourage you to line
up at the start by the minute sign you think you can run when people
who did and actually ran slower placed ahead of you in the rankings.
What a glorious day for a run though, and how well organized.
Greetings, all! I've posted a bunch of photos I took at the 5 mile
mark ===>> http://www.justsocks.com/city_run/
Be patient...I kept the images big for clarity. mbs

By the way, I also uploaded a registration form for the BBQ Festival
Run in Owensboro. This form is better than the one that is on the
website. It's posted in the "Files" directory at left.

Tuesday, April 16th, Hal Higdon, Senior Writer for Runner's World and
author of the best-selling Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide,
will be at Fleet Feet Sports from 7:00-8:30 p.m. to speak and sign
copies of his newest book, Marathoning A to Z.
Author of 33 books, Hal has run eight Olympics Trials and won four
world masters championships. One of the founders the Road Runners
Club of America (RRCA), Higdon also was a finalist in NASA's
Journalist-in-Space program to ride the space shuttle. He serves as
a training consultant for the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon and
operates that race's Virtual Training that send daily emails to more
the 20,000 runners. Higdon's own popular Web site
(www.halhigdon.com) features training schedules from 5K to the
ultramarathon plus other training tips. He recently completed his
seventh marathon in seven months to commemorate his 70th birthday.
His newest book, Marathoning A to Z, will be release April 1st and
will be available to the store then. In it are 500 tips gleaned by
the master himself from tens of thousands of postings on his
successful training Web site. With marathoning more popular than
ever, this indispensable and accessible training guide distills years
of knowledge into one handy volume. After all, when you've been
running for half a century and have finished more than a hundred
marathons, you do acquire a lot of information that can be--should be-
-passed on to upcoming generations of runners.
From Aid Station Strategy to Hill Substitutes to Vitamins and
Grabbing Zs, here's is everything you'll need to run your best
marathon. Concise and eminently readable, Higdon's advice puts any
runner's mind at ease no matter what the concern.
Marathoning A to Z is like having a personal coach with you every
step of the way.
If you can't get to the post office in time for the postmark, you can
drop your entries off at Fleet Feet Sports up until closing time and
still get the early registration price.

If you click on the date of the race in the calendar, it often has
where the race is and a phone number for information. Best of all,
anyone can add a race they are aware of so everyone can know.
