The Downtown YMCA would like to invite you to register for its 25th
annual "Run for the Sun" 4 mile run/walk. This year's family fitness
event will take place on Saturday, February 25th at 9:00 A.M. It will
follow its traditional course through downtown Louisville, with the
start and finish lines at the Downtown Y at 555 South Second Street.
Entry fees for the Run for the Sun are $20.00 for early registration
(postmarked by February 19th), $25 for late registration (postmarked
after February 19th). Proceeds from the "Run for the Sun" will
support the Y's Spirit Program which provides financial assistance to
families and individuals who cannot afford YMCA services and programs.

Registration forms are available at all YMCA locations, at local
running and health & fitness stores, and through the YMCA's web site
at www.ymcalouisville.org. Packet Pick Up and Late Registration will
take place at the Downtown Y on Friday, February 24th from 11:00 A.M.
to 7:00 P.M. and on race day from 6:30 to 8:30 A.M. Participants will
receive an official YMCA 2006 "Run for the Sun" T-shirt and
refreshments including bagels, fruit, popcorn, juice sports drinks and
bottled water. Complimentary skin cancer screenings will be available
before and after the race provided by the Stanley W. Browning Melanoma
Cancer Foundation. The Downtown Y will also offer free baby-sitting
beginning at 7:00 A.M. and parking at its garage or at Jefferson
Community College.
