My criticism was not directed at you, but the KDF. Of course they
shouldn't have been walking 4 abreast, but... For the additional fee,
marathoner's at least deserved a separate lane to the finish, and that
was the responsibility of the KY Derby Festival folks who just want our
money and care little for putting on a good race.

BTW, my pace was 14:17 for the 22 miles I covered, two walkers passed me
just before I headed for the "Y" and I couldn't keep up with them. So as
I said, I understand what you mean by effort. I was sitting on a stool
at the "Y" after wondering if it was ok to get up (without passing out)!
