I meant to respond to this thread earlier -- sorry 'bout that. Anyway,
there are a lot of places that I've dealt with and like very much. I
have yet to have a bad experience with the website ordering. Here are
some of the best ones:
Reliable Racing out of upstate NY (www.reliableracing.com) is a good one,
as is Akers (www.akers-ski.com) out of Andover Maine,
Gear West (http://www.gearwest.com/) out of Minneapolis,
Sierra Nordic (www.sierranordic.com) out of Truckee or rather, "Soda
Springs," CA,
Finn-sisu (http://www.finnsisu.com/equipment.html), also out of
Minneapolis,
Peter Glenn sports (http://www.peterglenn.com/pglenn/) out of Anchorage,
AK,
New Moon -- famous for being THE Birkebeiner ski shop in Hayward, WI
(http://www.newmoonski.com/),
and finally, Fasterskier.com (www.fasterskier.com), which is more than
just a shop -- it's a huge xc skiing website also.
Check 'em all out. Some of them I've actually been to in person, others
I've just ordered from. They're all good.
Have fun, and remember -- don't do that at work!
